Project Details:
At HPP Industrial, we’ve had the privilege of supporting a wide range of infrastructure projects over the years—but few are as rewarding as the ones that bring new life to aging community systems. One such project took place in Danville, Kentucky, where a 3-million-gallon municipal water tank was due for a full restoration.

Working alongside Jay Hoffman of Wet or Dry Tank Inspections, we provided a customized suite of coatings that met both structural and regulatory demands—helping ensure safe, long-term operation for the city’s utility system.
The interior of the tank was prepared to SSPC-SP10 standards and coated with Rust-Oleum’s 9200 series potable water epoxy—a three-coat system certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 600 standards. It’s always a point of pride for us to supply materials that not only meet performance specs but also contribute to the safe storage of drinking water.
For the exterior, we supported a full surface prep to SSPC-SP10, followed by a base coat of ROCEpoxy 9100 and a topcoat of ROCThane Direct-to-Metal Urethane Mastic—both selected for their proven durability, UV resistance, and smooth, high-build finish. We finished the job with Colorfast EX lettering, a standout choice for long-lasting gloss, color retention, and low VOC impact.
Every tank tells a story—and this one is a reminder of why we do what we do. We’re proud to have been part of preserving such a vital asset for Danville’s future, and we look forward to continuing to support communities with products and partnerships that last.
