At HPP Industrial, we’re often asked to help solve challenges where performance, safety, and operational constraints all intersect. One standout example is a recent bottling area floor application where the demands were clear: the system had to perform in a wet environment, withstand frequent chemical exposure, meet food-grade standards, and be installed without disrupting daily operations.
In food and beverage facilities, floors are subjected to constant wear from alcohol exposure, aggressive cleaning agents, and repeated wash downs. Odor and downtime are also major concerns. For this project, we worked closely with the applicator to specify a no-odor, non-skid system designed to meet the realities of a working bottling environment.
The system began with a Hard Surface Epoxy Primer, ensuring strong adhesion to the existing substrate and creating a reliable foundation for the buildout. From there, Seal-Krete Epoxy ShellPro Water-Based Floor Coating was applied, delivering excellent chemical resistance and durability while remaining suitable for food-grade environments.
The system was completed with Seal-Krete DuraShell Water-Based Urethane, adding an additional layer of protection, abrasion resistance, and long-term performance.
What makes this system especially effective is its balance of strength and practicality. It’s low odor, water-based, and incorporates a non-skid finish, making it well suited for wet work areas where safety and cleanliness are critical. Just as important, the system stands up to alcohol exposure and the harsh cleaning chemicals required in food processing facilities, all without compromising indoor air quality during application.
